Signings for 2017/18 Season
Shildon are delighted to announce that the following players have today signed for the 2017/18 Season.
Lewis Dodds
Daniel Groves
Billy Greulich-Smith
Michael Rae
This follows on from the previous players who have re-signed for the 2017/18 Season, Sam Hodgson, Matty Robson and Adam Burnicle.
ENL1: Shildon 6 Consett 3
Shildon overcame Consett 6-3 in a entertaining game at Dean Street.
Matt Robson broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Billy Greulich-Smith was fouled in the box. Lewis Wing doubled the lead from a free kick before half time.
Straight after the restart Lavery pulled a goal back for Consett. Sam Hodgson then scored the goal of the game scoring from 25 yards into the top corner of the net. Arjun Purewal then headed in from a corner to make it 3-2. Lewis Wing turned and volleyed into the top corner to make it 4-2. Adam Burnicle added a fifth but Teasdale scored for Consett shortly after to make it 5-3.
Micky Rae finished the scoring to make the final score Shildon 6 Consett 3.
ENL1 : Jarrow Roofing 1 Shildon 1
Dominic Curl made his debut as the points were shared at the Boldon CA Sports Ground.
Shildon dominated the first half and Billy Greulich-Smith put them in at half time 1-0.
In the second half a soft free kick led to Dennis Knight crossing for Christopher Winn to glance a header into the bottom corner for the equaliser.
