Shildon AFC can confirm our retained/ released list.
Released:
The following players have been released from the Club. We would like to express our sincere thanks for their contributions made during their stay;
- Mark Foden
- Lewis Green
- Matthew Wade
Returning to their parent Club:
Josh Masfari made a significant contribution during the latter part of the season and became a fans favourite. He has returned to his parent Club, Hartlepool United where we hope that he fulfils his potential
Out of contract:
Joe Posthill expressed a desire to play at a higher level and he has subsequently moved on to a Step 3 Club. We wish him all the best for the future.
Retired:
Alex White has made the decision to retire. Alex, is one of Shildon AFC’s true legends and has been a magnificent servant for the Club. We wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him again in some capacity at the Club.
Option exercised:
Ben Reay’s option has been exercised and we look forward to seeing him again next season.
New Contracts:
As previously advised the core of the squad committed to the Club by signing extended Contracts, these being;

Brad Hird has decided to leave. We wish him all the best
Young Players:
Luke Teare and Keean Gillan will both come to pre-season training and we will look to partner with a Club at Wearside League level to get them some game time experience
