Shildon AFC is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Sam Hodgson.
Sam is well known to Shildon fans having previously played for the Club for a number of years. He has also played at Whitby, Blyth Spartans, Morpeth and Bishop Auckland.
Shildon AFC First Team Manager, Chris Hughes, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the club. He has been here before and won, we know he can help us do that again. Sam had several options from the leagues above so we are happy he has chose to sign for Shildon.
Sam completed part of his rehab with us in the 23/24 season and we were very impressed with his attitude in training. Despite not knowing our squad at all, he was able to have influence on the group and we expect that to be the case this season. He will be role model for the younger players in the group but also support the more experienced players we have by sharing the responsibility they have in the squad.”
