Shildon AFC are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of defender Alfie Marriott from Heaton Stannington FC.
Alfie initially joined the Railwaymen on a short-term loan last month and has quickly made his mark both on and off the pitch. His composed performances and strong defensive presence have impressed supporters and staff alike, contributing to a solid run of form during his time in red and white.
Following positive discussions between both clubs, Alfie’s move has now been made permanent—strengthening our back line as we continue to build momentum this season.
First Team Manager Chris Hughes commented:
“When the opportunity came up to make this move permanent we were delighted. Alfie is very young for a centre back but is already holding his own at this level of football. For someone so young, he has a wealth of experience at this level and levels above. The most exciting thing about this is his potential and we look forward to watching him grow as we try to progress this season.”
The Club welcomes Alfie Marriott as a permanent addition to the squad and looks forward to his continued contribution.
