In just a few weeks, we’ll once again have the privilege of competing in the final of the Durham Challenge Cup at the Stadium of Light.
This is a fantastic achievement for everyone connected with the Club, and we’re calling on as many supporters as possible to purchase tickets and get behind the team on the day.
We want you to enjoy the occasion, create a brilliant atmosphere, and make plenty of noise. However, we must be absolutely clear: Sunderland AFC, like ourselves, operates a strict ban on pyrotechnic devices. These items are dangerous, carry a serious risk of injury, and anyone found in possession will face legal consequences.
Please do not bring pyrotechnics to the match. You will be identified, and you will face criminal prosecution. The Club would also face significant fines, potential exclusion from next year’s competition, and the opportunity to host future finals at such a prestigious venue could be put at risk.
It simply isn’t worth it. Let’s all play our part in ensuring a safe, enjoyable matchday experience at a fantastic stadium.
