The U7 and U8 teams both had very good home wins, 9-0 and 11-1 respectively. The U10 went down 3-2 to local rivals Aycliffe Youth in controversial circumstances, whilst the U13 lost out by the same score at home to Greatham.

The Under 10’s continued their great start to season with a hard fought draw at home to Darlington TSC. The Under 9’s showed their continuing improvements with a draw against Darlington TSC. The news was not as good from the other teams, with the Under 7’s losing their 100% record, going down to Bishop Auckland St Mary’s, whilst the Under 8’s lost a close fought game 1-0 away to Norton and Stockton Ancients. The Under 13’s were on the end of numerous rough refereeing decisions (which would have got Stu Niven sent to the stands if he was there) as they were beaten at Cargo Fleet

Most of Shildon AFC’s junior teams kick off their league season on Sunday 8th September, with three of these making their competitive debuts.
Our U7’s travel to Middleton Rangers, whilst our U8’s make the journey to Teesside to face Leven Athletic.
Our fledgling U9’s team host Ferryhill at the Scouts Field, with the U10’s travelling to Darlington to face 21st AllStars.
The U11’s also have a home fixture, to Hartlepool Warriors with the U16’s travelling to Stockton Rangers for their first game.
Come along to the Scouts field on Sunday morning to support the juniors.
