A Comfortable Win
Shildon AFC had a comfortable 4 – 0 away win at Ashbrooke Belford House, Sunderland on Tuesday 4th November 2014 in the 1st Round of the Durham Challenge Cup, with young Jack Taylor making a good debut at No 4.
As expected the Railwaymen took early control opening the scoring on 21 minutes when a through ball found Mark Doninger who beat keeper Brett Wilson.
Three minutes later Shildon beat the off side trap and another through ball saw Chris Emms covert. Daniel Moore made it 3 – 0 before the break.
With the result not in doubt by half time, very little happened in the 2nd half apart from Mark Doninger scoring his 2nd goal of the night from close range on 84 minutes.
