A Comfortable Win
Holders Shildon AFC comfortably beat Durham City 3 – 0 at home on Wednesday 7th January 2015 in the last 16 of the Durham Challenge Cup.
The Railwaymen took an early lead after just 4 minutes when Micky Rae found Ben Wood whose left foot shot hit the inside of the post and went in.
With the wind behind them, Shildon missed several good chances to increase their lead and should have gone in at half time 5 goals ahead.

Early in the 2nd half Shildon got a deserved 2nd goal when Ben Wood hit the post and the ball bounced to Mark Doninger who crossed for Ben Wood to score on the far post.
It was all Shildon, as it had been throughout the game, and it was 3 – 0 on 75 minutes when a class 4 man move was finished off by Lee Chapman with a powerful shot from the edge of the box.
