A Comfortable Win
Shildon AFC are still top of the league after a comfortable 5 – 0 home win on Saturday 5th September 2015 against West Allotment Celtic.
The Railwaymen took the lead just before the half hour when a free kick by Lewis Graham to Mark Doninger whose diving header from 15 yards beat keeper Dan Mullen.
On 39 minutes Shildon were awarded a dubious penalty when Lewis Wing was fouled in the box by Liam Anderson. Up stepped Mark Doing for his second goal of the game and his ninth goal of the season.

Early in the second half Shildon took the foot of the gas and Celtic were unlucky not to score on 74 minutes when Joe Eliott’s header hit the post.
Mid way through the second half to inject more pace, Shildon brought on Billy Greulich-Smith, Kyle Fryatt and Mark Hudson. The subs. changed the play with Shildon scoring three more goals in the last 10 minutes of the game.
On 80 minutes Bily Greulich-Smith on the left looked suspiciously off side squared to Kyle Fryatt for 3 – 0. Three minutes later a great run by Fryatt set up Lewis Wing. With a minute remaining a perfect pass from Mark Hudson put Lewis Wing through for his second goal of the game.
