A Very Comfortable Win
Shildon AFC continued their winning ways with a very comfortable 5 – 0 home win against Jarrow Roofing on Wednesday 24th February 2016. The win increased the Railwaymen’s lead at the top of the table to 13 points.
Shildon dominated the play from kick off and took an early lead after just 5 minutes when Ben Wood firing into the top corner from close range.
The home side contrived to miss several good chances and the score remained the same up to the interval.

After the break Billy Greulich-Smith, who had missed chances in the 1st half, discovered the route to goal on 54 minutes with a left footer into the roof of the net.
It was one way traffic with Billy scoring again minutes later, followed by Anthony Bell firing home from close range.
The icing on a commanding performance deservedly arrived in the final minute for Billy when he headed in a Lewis Wing cross for his hat-trick.
