A Comfortable Win
Holders Shildon AFC are through to the 2nd Round of the Durham Challenge Cup after a comfortable 3 – 0 home win against Hebburn Town on Saturday 17th October 2015.
After a goalless first half Shildon controlled the game scoring three goals, the first on 49 minutes with Mark Doninger firing low into the bottom of the net.
It was 2 – 0 in 78 minutes when Billy Greulich-Smith headed to Ben Wood who scored from close range.
Near the end Mark Doninger sealed the win with a low drive for his second goal of the game.

After the match manager Gary Forrest said “We worked hard today and controlled the game. Hebburn are a good footballing side, but they never really troubled us. In fact, our keeper didn’t have a shot to save”.
