Shildon AFC were at bottom club Guisborough Town on Wednesday 15th March 2017 and, as expected came away with all three points after a 4 – 2 win.
Surprisingly, the home side were ahead after 9 minutes when a shot from Steve Roberts was parried by Shildon keeper Nick Liversedge for an easy tap in by Anthony Hume.
Shortly after, Shildon were awarded a soft penalty for a trip on Lewis Dodds. Matty Robson’s spot kick was pushed onto the bar by keeper Jordan Nixon, but Robson fired in the rebound.
The Railwaymen went ahead after 25 minutes when star man Lewis Wing’s long range thunderbolt crashed into the roof of the net. Before the interval Wing added another cracking goal from 18 yards out.
Shildon were down to 10 men on 40 minutes when Matty Robson pulled back last man Steve Roberts.

Shildon still controlled the play in the second half, even with 10 men, and just after the hour, that man again, Lewis Wing turned his man and this time fired into the roof of the net from a difficult angle with his left foot.
Guisborough never gave up and pulled a goal back 10 minutes later when Tom Bligh shot took a wicked deflection past keeper Nick Liversedge.
