All Square
Third placed Shildon AFC entertained fourth placed Morpeth Town on Saturday 22nd February 2017 in a cracking game of entertaining football. The result could have gone either way, but in the end it was a 2 – 2 draw.
The match started at a frantic pace with most of the pressure coming from Shildon. Lewis Wing had two good efforts going just wide before Morpeth took the lead just after the half hour. A long ball put Liam Henderson through and he beat a defender and keeper Nick Liversedge to score from a narrow angle.
Two minutes later it was all square when Bobby Moore was tripped in the box for a penalty which Matty Robson converted with ease.

Minutes later Morpeth should have increased their lead but Shildon keeper pulled off a great save.
