Shildon AFC Welcomes Goalkeeper Sam Taylor

Shildon AFC is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Sam Taylor. Having developed through Middlesbrough’s academy, Sam was a scholar at Huddersfield Town, where he gained valuable experience on loan at Northallerton Town. He later spent eighteen months as a professional at York City before joining Billingham Synthonia on loan where he played last season.

First Team Manager Chris Hughes commented on the signing:

We are delighted to bring Sam into the squad. Sam is a young and ambitious keeper but already has a lot of experience playing in non league.

We believe he has all of the attributes required to fit in to how we play and deal with the physical nature of some of the opposition threats at this level.

His attitude and his personality will help him fit in to the well established squad we have.

Welcome to Shildon AFC, Sam!
