Shildon AFC – Updated Youth Entry Policy

Shildon AFC has today announced an updated matchday entry policy for young supporters as part of an enhanced commitment to safeguarding and stadium safety at Dean Street.

Effective immediately, all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over) when attending any Shildon AFC first-team fixtures.

This policy update reflects the club’s ongoing dedication to providing a secure, protected, and family-friendly environment for the local community. While Shildon AFC takes immense pride in its growing young fanbase, the safety, well-being, and proper supervision of minor supporters inside the stadium remains the club’s highest priority.

Key Matchday Safeguarding Details:

Supervised Entry: Children under 14 will not be permitted entry through the Dean Street turnstiles unless accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Adult Responsibility: Accompanying adults must maintain supervision and take responsibility for the welfare and conduct of the minors in their care for the duration of the matchday event.

Matchday Operations: Stewards and matchday personnel will actively assist in monitoring turnstile access to ensure these youth safety standards are consistently met.

The club thanks all fans for their continued cooperation in keeping our ground safe and enjoyable for everyone.
