LEAGUE CUP RESULT | Shildon 3 Willington 3 (Willington win 4-1 on Penalties)

Shildon are out of the League Cup after losing a penalty shoot out against Willington.

Daniel Moore gave Shildon the perfect start, kicking with the wind at their backs, scoring 2 goals to put the home side 2-0 at the break.

Matty Moffat then put Willington back in the game with a good finish past Shaun Newbrook. 2 Goals from Michael Brown then gave Willington the lead only for Daniel Moore to complete his hat-trick in the 94th minute to send it to Penalties.

Former Shildon goalkeeper Lewis Graham saved from Brad Hird & Jamie Harwood and then scored the final penalty to send Willington through 4-1.

FIXTURE RE-ARRANGED | Dunston UTS

The home game against Dunston UTS has been re-arranged to be played on Tuesday 6th November due to Dunston’s ongoing involvement in the FA Cup. The game was originally due to be played on the 6th October.

ENL1 Result | Ashington 4 Shildon 2

Shildon are now 5th in the League after a 4-2 defeat away to Ashington.

3 goals in the first half hour virtually finished the contest, Atkinson, Butler & North with the goals.

Just before the break Matty Waters & Ben Trotter reduced the deficit to 3-2.

In the second half Keith Graydon was sent off and with Shildon pushing for an equaliser, Ashington broke away in the last minute to add a fourth.

ENL1 RESULT | Seaham Red Star 1 Shildon 1

In  a wind affected game Daryll Hall scored his first goal for the club on his return to gain a point.

In a wind affected game the teams went in goalless at half time. Danny Earl and Keith Graydon both had shots saved by the Seaham keeper with Shaun Newbrook also making a good save to keep it 0-0.

After 74mins Daryll Hall rose highest to meet a Keith Graydon free kick and head in to back of the net to give Shildon the lead. 3 minutes later though Seaham leveled through Wilson.
