League Cup : Newton Aycliffe 1 Shildon 1 (6-7 on Penalties)

Shildon progress into the 3rd round of the Northern League Cup after knocking out Newton Aycliffe 7-6 on penalties.

Bobby Moore sent Shildon into half time 1-0 up before Dennis Knight headed past Lewis Graham to level it up.

North Shields 2 Shildon 2 (Shildon Win 4-2 on Penalties)

Marske United will be our opponents in the Final of the Northern League Cup.

Lewis Graham was outstanding saving 3 penalties, one in normal time and two in the penalty shoot out after the teams finished 120 mins level at 2-2.

Shildon were in the lead inside the first minute when Anthony Bell went through the defence a lead the kept until the 70th minute. 5 mins earlier Lewis made his first penalty save.

In extra time Shildon regained the lead through Mark Doninger before North Shields again equalised with a minute left of the first half of extra time.
