ENL1 : Morpeth Town 2 Shildon 1

Shildon are in 4th position in the Ebac Northern League after a 2-1 defeat to last years FA Vase winners Morpeth Town.

Starting brightly Shildon took the lead just before the half hour mark when Paul Connor scored his 8th goal of the season. Just before half time Michael Chilton scored the equaliser. Both teams had good chances to win the game but it was Paul Robinson who scored to give Morpeth the win.

ENL1 : Newcastle Benfield 0 Shildon 0

A hard fought 0-0 draw kept Shildon’s unbeaten run going at Newcastle Benfield.

In the second half Shildon applied pressure to the Benfield goal, but the goal wouldn’t come. A free kick from Lewis Wing was tipped over by Benfield keeper Andrew Grainger and the keeper again saved at the feet of Micky Rae when the striker was clean through.

At the other end Nick Liversedge made a a good save to make sure the honours were even.

ENL1 : Bishop Auckland 2 Shildon 3

An Anthony Bell double and Micky Rae header kept Shildon at the top of the Ebac Northern League Division One.

Trailing at half time to a goal by former Shildon player Andrew Johnson, Shildon responded in the second half to take all three points.

First a penalty by Anthony Bell, followed by a shot from just outside the box gave Shildon a 2-1 before Johnson again scored to equalize. Micky Rae scored with a header with 3 minutes left on the clock.

ENL 1 : Shildon 2 Whitley Bay 2

Both teams left Dean Street with there unbeaten records in tact after Whitley Bay battled back from a 2-0 deficit.

Shildon started brightly and Anthony Bell shot was deflected in the 12th minute to give Shildon the lead. Then a Paul Connor header gave Shildon a 2-0 lead at the break.

In the second half Whitley Bay scored through Alex Kempster before ex Shildon player Ross Wilkinson scored in the 90th minute to give Whitley Bay a share of the spoils.

2016/17 Season Ticket Prices

Double Winners, Shildon AFC have announced 2016/17 Season Ticket prices and Admission Prices.

Season tickets, which are on sale now, will cost just £95 for adults and £55 for concessions and juniors – saving approx. 25% on the whole season.

Also available will be a 10 match season ticket, priced at £47 for Adults & £27 for concessions.

Full admission prices for league matches will be £6 and £4 with under 12s gaining free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.

Cup matches are not included in the season ticket and full admission prices for FA Cup and FA Vase games will be £7 adults and £5 concessions. Domestic cup matches will be priced at the same as league matches. The same offer also applies to under 12s.

Shildon 4 Marske United 1

Shildon retained the Cleator Cup, the traditional opening game of the Northern League Season, with a 4-1 victory over Marske United.

Marske took the lead when Jamie Owens powered in a header, but in the last few minutes of the first half Micky Rae scored twice to take the railwaymen into the break 2-1 up.

In the second half both teams had chances but Paul Connor chipped Robert Dean the Marske goalkeeper before Micky Rae completed his hat trick.
