Ryan Carr scored the only goal of the game with the last kick of the first half to give North Shields the win.
Shaun Newbrook in the Shildon goal produced a couple of good saves to keep it 1-0. Jamie Harwood had Shildon’s best attempt when his header from a Keith Graydon corner hit the bar.

Shildon are out of the FA Cup after a 4-1 defeat away to Tadcaster Albion.
Joe Lumsden put the hosts 2 up in the first half. Daniel Moore scored a header to half the deficit but 2 further goals from Whitehouse and Stewart in the last minute put Tadcaster through.

Cleator Cup – Dunston UTS v Shildon
Due to the cancellation of the Cleator Cup against Marske United on Saturday we approached the Northern League proposing that as we were the highest placed Northern League Team last season we would be available to play Dunston UTS to enable the Cleator Cup to go ahead this season.
After discussions with ourselves, The Ebac Northern League and Dunston UTS we have agreed, and the game will be played on Tuesday 31st July, Kick Off 7:30pm at The UTS Stadium, Wellington Road, Dunston, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. NE11 9JL
