Shildon AFC is delighted to announce the signing of forward Brad Hird from North Shields FC.
Brad will be well known to Shildon supporters having made 27 appearances for the Club in the 2018/19 season, scoring 8 goals. He has also played for Ryhope CW (where he worked with Shildon AFC Coaches Craig Huhges and David Pounder) and Whitley Bay.
Shildon AFC Manager, Chris Hughes commented on the signing: “We are delighted to get Brad into the Club. We tried to sign him in the summer and is someone we have kept a close eye on this season. Brad will compliment the other strikers we have at the club and the way we play will suit Brads game. Brad fits in with the type of player and person we want at Shildon AFC. Having previously been at the club and worked with Craig and David at Ryhope, we know we will get an honest forward who will play for the team and score goals. At 26 years old, Brad knows his game now and will become one of the more experienced players in the squad”.
Brad is available for selection and will go into Saturday’s squad travelling to Redcar Athletic FC.
