Shildon AFC is delighted to announce that ManHealth will continue to be our home and away shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2024/25 season.
This is the second season that ManHealth will be a sponsor of the first team at Shildon AFC and is just part of an onging partnership which will look to develop joint initiatves over the coming months to help with ManHealth’s objectives in addressing the issues around men’s mental health.
Paul Bannister from ManHealth said “ManHealth are delighted to be able to partner once again with Shildon AFC to raise awareness about the male suicide and health epidemic. Way too many of our men are dying to young due to preventable causes. If through this partnership we can send a message to our men about the importance of seeking help and looking after themselves both mentally and physically then it has been worth it”.
David Dent, Shildon AFC Chairman said “We are really pleased that ManHealth have agreed to continue their partnership with the Club. They provide an invaluable service and by using our collective resources we hope to promote better mental and physical health for men within our community”.
ManHealth are the only voluntary sector organisation using a proactive approach to address the crisis of male suicide and provide free peer support groups across County Durham, Darlington, and Northumberland for men who are going through a storm, the aim of which is to support men through difficulties in their mental and physical ill health, ultimately to prevent suicide.
