Shildon have arranged the first pre-season friendly for the 2017/18 season against our local neighours Darlington Football Club.
The game is due to be played on Saturday 8th July at Dean Street. Admission prices are £5 Adults and £3 Concessions.
Shildon left it late to get the three points against West Auckland.
Hassan gave West Auckland the lead in the first half with a header from a corner.
In the second half Adam Burnicle scored the equaliser before Matty Robson was fouled in the box and converted the Penalty himself.

Shildon overcame Consett 6-3 in a entertaining game at Dean Street.
Matt Robson broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Billy Greulich-Smith was fouled in the box. Lewis Wing doubled the lead from a free kick before half time.
Straight after the restart Lavery pulled a goal back for Consett. Sam Hodgson then scored the goal of the game scoring from 25 yards into the top corner of the net. Arjun Purewal then headed in from a corner to make it 3-2. Lewis Wing turned and volleyed into the top corner to make it 4-2. Adam Burnicle added a fifth but Teasdale scored for Consett shortly after to make it 5-3.
Micky Rae finished the scoring to make the final score Shildon 6 Consett 3.
Shildon were knocked out of the League Cup, losing 4-1 to South Shields.
Micky Rae gave Shildon an early lead slotting past keeper Connell. 7 Minutes later South Shields were awarded a penalty when Jamie Harwood was harshly penalised for an alleged foul on South Shields forward Jordan Blinco, to everyone’s amazement then Jamie was sent off leaving Shildon 78 minutes to play with 10 men.
Carl Finnigan scored the penalty to level, then 2 furthe goals for Jordan Blinco and another for Finnigan in the second half set up a tie against North Shields in the Final.

Amar Purewal and Lewis Wing were on target as Shildon remained in 3rd place in the eBac Northern League.

Curtis Coppen scored 2 second half goals to add to Ryan Carr’s opener to give North Shields a 3-0 victory.
That moves North Shields 22 points of Shildon with only 8 games remaining.
