Vote for Shildon’s Home Strip for the 2018/19 Season

Shildon AFC is running a poll at www.shildonafc.com to choose the home strip for the 2018/19 Season.

The strips are manufactured by Avec and since launching in 1993 as the Official Kit Supplier to Sunderland AFC, Avec Sport has continued to supply a large portfolio of professional clubs within the Premier League and Football League, which more recently includes Crystal Palace FC, Doncaster Rovers FC and Scunthorpe United FC.

The poll will close at 10pm tomorrow night 23rd May.

ENL1 RESULT | Newcastle Benfield 4 Shildon 2

Shildon conceded four goals in the second half to give all the points to Newcastle Benfield.

Dan Groves and Billy Greulich-Smith gave Shildon a great start and send them in at half time 2-0 up.

In the second half Benfield’s goals were scored by Jake Orrell, Paul Brayson and two from Scott McCarthy.

NEW SIGNING : Bailey Hunter

Bailey Hunter has completed a transfer to Shildon

22 year old Bailey is an attack minded player who can play either Left Back or Left Midfield and possesses superb crossing ability. Previous Clubs include Willington, Consett and Esh Winning. He will be in the squad for today’s game against Bishop Auckland

ENL 1 Result : Newton Aycliffe 2 Shildon 1

Newton Aycliffe took all three points in the local derby.

Jordan Roberts & Ben Trotter scored within the space of 2 minutes quarter of an hour into the game to put Shildon on the back foot.

Billy Greulich-Smith pulled a goal back to Shildon hope but despite a lot of pressure couldn’t break down the Newton Aycliffe defence.

The result leaves Shildon in 6th place in the Ebac Northern League.
