The postponed home game against Newcastle Benfield has been re-arranged and will now be played on Wednesday 14th February. Kick Off 7:30pm
Bailey Hunter has completed a transfer to Shildon
22 year old Bailey is an attack minded player who can play either Left Back or Left Midfield and possesses superb crossing ability. Previous Clubs include Willington, Consett and Esh Winning. He will be in the squad for today’s game against Bishop Auckland
Newton Aycliffe took all three points in the local derby.
Jordan Roberts & Ben Trotter scored within the space of 2 minutes quarter of an hour into the game to put Shildon on the back foot.
Billy Greulich-Smith pulled a goal back to Shildon hope but despite a lot of pressure couldn’t break down the Newton Aycliffe defence.
The result leaves Shildon in 6th place in the Ebac Northern League.

Shildon have been drawn away to Spennymoor Town in the Quarter Final of the Durham Challenge Cup.

Shildon won their first league game of 2018 with a 5-3 victory at home to Team Northumbria.
Following on from midweek Jamie Harwood opened the scoring and Adam Burnicle added a second soon after. Team Northumbria pulled a goal back before Daniel Moore added a third.
At the start of the second half Team Northumbria made it 3-2. Adam Burnicle scored Shildon’s 4th 5 minutes later. Team Northumbria then were awarded a penalty which they scored to make it 4-3. Burnicle then completed his hat-trick. In the final minute Marc Ellison was shown a straight Red Card.

Honours were even in the Boxing Day Derby.
Billy Greulich-Smith opened the scoring with a header for Shildon at the end of the first half. Former Shildon player Anthony Bell equalised in the second half.
The point leaves us in 4th place in the Northern League, level on points with North Shields.
Shildon were held to a goalless draw against Billingham Synthonia.
Two goals from Ben Harmison and a Jordan Summerly goal gave North Shields a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Chasing the game Shildon pulled 2 goals back in the first 15 minutes of the second half with a Micky Rae header and a Jack Blackford strike.
Unfortunately, at the other end, Carl Jones making his first appearance since returning to the club turned into his own net to make it 4-2. Billy Greulich-Smith then scored with a header to make it 4-3.
In the last minute of the game, Craig McFarlane scored to make the final score 5-3.
