Shildon AFC is delighted to announce the signings of defenders Jordan Patterson and Jack Patterson from Consett AFC and Sunderland RCA FC respectively.
Jordan, a contract player was signed for an undisclosed fee and will add experience to our squad having played in the Northern Premier East for Consett AFC. Jack is an exciting talent who our First Team Manager, Chris Hughes, knows from Middlesbrough FC and will add further depth to our squad.
Chris Hughes commented:
“We are delighted to add Jordan and Jack to the squad. Since Nathan’s retirement, we have been looking for suitable defenders to join the squad. Jordan has a wealth of experience at this level and the level above. I have known Jordan for many years and have always tracked his career. He is a top defender and will bring leadership qualities to the group. I noticed Jack had joined RCA last season and again monitored his progress there. He played against us in pre season and it was clear to see he would be good addition to our squad. At that time, we had a lot of cover in defence and it would have been the wrong thing to sign him at that time. The time is now right and we are delighted to have him with us. We look forward to working with him and watching his development in adult football”
We would also like to wish Harry Clarkson well as he moves on. Harry completed the full pre season with us and has featured several times this season. Harry has moved on to explore opportunities where he will get more game time. Everyone at Shildon thanks Harry for his time with us and wishes him well for the future.
