ENL1 | Shildon AFC Fixture Changes

A couple of our remaining games have now been re-arranged.

Our away game at Washington will now take place on Saturday 14th April and our away game to Whitley Bay has been moved to Monday evening 30th April.

ENL1 RESULT | Shildon 2 Consett 0

Shildon moved to 5th place in the Northern League with 2 late goals giving them all three points against Consett.

Adam Burnicle opened the scoring in the 89th minute and then Kyle Patton two minutes later added the second and his first goal for the club.

NEW SIGNING | Bradley Hird from Durham City

Welcome to the club Bradley Hird from Durham City.

The striker has scored 20 league goals for Durham City this season and is second top scorer in Northern League Division 2.

Delighted with the signing player/manager said “Having watched Brad several times I know he has bags of potential and has already proved he can score goals. He is another young footballer we have added to the squad who is hungry to compete for trophies and play as high in the pyramid as possible and I am excited to have him at the club”

He will go into tomorrow’s squad for our game against Ryhope CW.

ENL1 Result | Shildon 1 Morpeth Town 1

Honours were even as Shildon drew 1-1 with Morpeth Town at Dean Street.

Shildon had the perfect start after 3mins when Man Of The Match Adam Gell scored. Jamie Harwood almost doubled the lead with a 40 yard lob that hit the post.

In the second half Joe Walton scored from the spot to make the final score 1-1.

ENL1 RESULT | Shildon 2 Whitley Bay 1

Shildon remain 6th in the Ebac Northern League Division One after a 2-1 victory against Whitley Bay.

Billy Greulich-Smith opened the scoring when he deflected an Adam Gell shot past the Whitley Bay Keeper. Thomas Potter equalised for Whitley Bay in the second half only for Rhys Groves to chip his own keeper to give Shildon the win.
