The opening game for Shildon of the 2016/17 campaign opened with a 6-0 Victory against Chester-le-Street at Dean Street.

Goals were scored Micky Rae, David Ferguson 2, Anthony Bell, Billy Greulich-Smith and Paul Connor

2016/17 Season Ticket Prices

Double Winners, Shildon AFC have announced 2016/17 Season Ticket prices and Admission Prices.

Season tickets, which are on sale now, will cost just £95 for adults and £55 for concessions and juniors – saving approx. 25% on the whole season.

Also available will be a 10 match season ticket, priced at £47 for Adults & £27 for concessions.

Full admission prices for league matches will be £6 and £4 with under 12s gaining free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.

Cup matches are not included in the season ticket and full admission prices for FA Cup and FA Vase games will be £7 adults and £5 concessions. Domestic cup matches will be priced at the same as league matches. The same offer also applies to under 12s.

Shildon AFC Open Training Session

Shildon AFC will hold an open training session on Wednesday 3rd August.

Everyone is invited to come along from 7pm to watch the team being put through there paces followed by a meet and greet in the Clubhouse afterwards with the players.

Bar will be open from 6pm

Shildon 4 Marske United 1

Shildon retained the Cleator Cup, the traditional opening game of the Northern League Season, with a 4-1 victory over Marske United.

Marske took the lead when Jamie Owens powered in a header, but in the last few minutes of the first half Micky Rae scored twice to take the railwaymen into the break 2-1 up.

In the second half both teams had chances but Paul Connor chipped Robert Dean the Marske goalkeeper before Micky Rae completed his hat trick.

Norton & Stockton Ancients 1 Shildon 7

Shildon’s 100% record in pre-season friendlies continued with a 7-1 away victory against Norton on Wednesday 20th July 2016.

Goals coming from Anthony Bell (3) 4, 7, 38, Stephen Capper 41, Ben Wood (2) 23, 26, and trialist David Ferguson, 48.
