Alfie Marriott Joins On Loan
Shildon AFC can confirm the loan signing of defender Alfie Marriott from South Shields FC (subject to FA/League approval).
Alfie is a product of the South Shields FC Academy and made his first-team debut earlier this season at Warrington Town in the FA Trophy and was part of the South Shield FC Under-18s team which reached the first round of the FA Youth Cup this season.
Shildon AFC Manager Chris Hughes said: “We are looking forward to having Alfie with us for the next month. He is a talented young player who we have been aware of for the past year and we are pleased he will join the squad to compete for a place in the team.”.

Harrison Bond’s Loan Deal Extended
Shildon AFC can confirm that goalkeeper Harrison Bond’s loan deal from Sunderland AFC has been extended until the end of the 2022/23 season (subject to League/FA approval).
Luke Page Goes On Loan
Shildon AFC can confirm that Luke Page has gone on a one month loan to Seaham Red Star FC.
Jamie Tunstall, Shildon AFC Manager commented, “Luke has been brilliant since we returned to pre-season. He’s done alot of hard work and is probably ahead of where we expect him to be. We’re confident his injury is well behind him now and it’s just a case of Luke getting valuable game time on the pitch to get him up to speed. He’s shown his quality in the minutes he’s played for us and I’m sure it won’t be long before he’s back to full speed”
Bateman Leaves on Loan
Shildon AFC can confirm that Matty Bateman has gone on loan to Redcar Athletic FC.
Matty arrived from Bishop Juniors FC in October 2019 and has been an integral part of Shildon AFC reserves recent success and has made a number of appearances for the first team. He is returning to Redcar Athletic FC where he spent a sucessful loan spell last season.

We can confirm that goalkeeper Matthew Bateman has gone on a one month loan deal to Ebac Northern League Division 1 side Redcar Athletic FC.
Loan Signing – Ryan Bolton
Shildon AFC are pleased to announce the loan signing of Ryan Bolton. Ryan has joined us on a short term loan from Gateshead FC.
The defender joined the Gateshead FC first-team setup having spent the 2020/21 season with the under-19 squad.
Ryan appeared for the Gateshead first team during the club’s 2020/21 pre-season schedule, and was included in the 18-man squad to face Farsley Celtic in last season’s Buildbase FA Trophy. He also appeared for Northern League Division Two side West Allotment Celtic prior to the cancellation of the 2020/21 season.
Ryan is eligible to play against Cleethorpes Town FC today.
