Alfie Marriott Joins On Loan
Shildon AFC can confirm the loan signing of defender Alfie Marriott from South Shields FC (subject to FA/League approval).
Alfie is a product of the South Shields FC Academy and made his first-team debut earlier this season at Warrington Town in the FA Trophy and was part of the South Shield FC Under-18s team which reached the first round of the FA Youth Cup this season.
Shildon AFC Manager Chris Hughes said: “We are looking forward to having Alfie with us for the next month. He is a talented young player who we have been aware of for the past year and we are pleased he will join the squad to compete for a place in the team.”.

The home fixture against Grantham Town FC postponed on the 17th December 2022 has been re-arranged for 24th Janaury 2023, 7:45pm at the J Denham Metals Stadium at Dean Street.
Patrick Almond Signs Dual Registration
Shildon AFC is pleased to confirm that Patrick Almond has signed for the Club on a dual registration basis with Darlington FC.
Patrick started with Sunderland AFC’s academy system at the age of 11 graduating through to the Under 23 team in the 2021/22 season, signing professional terms in the summer of 2021. He made his professional debut in a 2-1 win against Manchester United Under 23s in October 2021.
In January 2022, Patrick joined Blyth Spartans on loan for the remainder of the 2021–22 season making 24 appearances, following the end of his loan spell he returned to Sunderland AFC but was subsequently released.
Patrick has already made one appearance for Shildon, playing in the 1-1 draw against Grimsby Borough at Dean Street on 19th November 2022.
Ossett United FC vs Shildon AFC – Match Re-arranged
The away fixture postponed on the 10th December 2022 against Ossett United will now be played on Saturday 11th February 2023 at the Ingfield Stadium, Prospect Road, Ossett, WF5 9HL. Kick-off is 3:00pm.

Sheffield FC vs Shildon AFC – Match Re-Arranged
The away fixture posponed on the 26th November 2022 has now been arranged for Tuesday 10th January 2023, kick-off is 7:45pm at the Home of Football Stadium, Sheffield Road, Dronfield S18 2GD.
