Shildon are delighted that Evo-Stik Northern Premier Champions Blyth Spartans have agreed to play a pre-season friendly at Dean Street on Tuesday July 11th, kick off 7:30pm.
Admission to the game will be £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
We look forward to welcoming Alun Armstrong’s Vanarama National League North team to Dean Street.
Shildon have arranged the first pre-season friendly for the 2017/18 season against our local neighours Darlington Football Club.
The game is due to be played on Saturday 8th July at Dean Street. Admission prices are £5 Adults and £3 Concessions.
Shildon’s 100% record in pre-season friendlies continued with a 7-1 away victory against Norton on Wednesday 20th July 2016.

Two goals in the final nine minutes and two penalties were the difference between the sides as Shildon took on Scottish Premiership opposition at Dean Street. The Railwaymen took the lead through Paul Connor and almost held on to it until half time but a 45th minute penalty, converted by Jason Scotland, brought the visitors back into the game. Shildon received an intense lesson in defending in the second half and held out until late in the game, but two goals in the final nine minutes, including another penalty, gave the top flight Scottish side a deserved but hard fought victory.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw which saw Shildon take the opportunity to blood some of their youngsters from the reserves, none of which looked out of place in the first team jersey.
