ENL1 Result | Sunderland RCA 0 Shildon 2

Shildon moved to 2nd in the League with a 2-0 victory away to Sunderland RCA.

New Signing Leon Carling made his debut following his move from Marske United.

Player/Manager Daniel Moore scored his fourth goal in two games to give Shildon the lead half way through the second half. In the final minute of the game Shaun Newbrook produced an outstanding save to keep the lead intact and from the clearance Brad Hird was judged to of been fouled in the box. Matty Robson stepped up to make it 2-0.

Next game is the FA Vase 1st Round game against Glasshoughton Welfare on October 13th.

ENL1 Fixture Changes @bishopafc & @sunderlandRCA

Owing to yesterday’s FA Vase results the following changes have been made to our fixture list.
We will now play Sunderland RCA away on Saturday 23rd September which now means we will play them twice within the space of 4 days with our home fixture being played on Wednesday 20th September.
Our fixture with Bishop Auckland which was originally due to be played on the 23rd will now be played on Wednesday 18th October.

ENL1 : Sunderland RCA 3 Shildon

Bobby Moore’s first game in charge could not of started better with Lewis Wing scoring in the first 20 seconds. By half time it was a different story with Shildon going in 3-2 down, Billy Greulich-Smith scoring the second.

Whatever was said at half time seemed to make a difference with 4 goals being scored. First an own goal from a corner made the score 3-3 followed by Anthony Bell who converted a penalty. In the last couple of minutes Michael Rae and Lewis Wing scored his second to make the final score

ENL1 : Shildon 4 Sunderland RCA 1

Sunderland RCA started brightly and went ahead when a cross ball evaded a stretching Matty Robson and fell to Larkin who placed the ball past Liversedge in the Shildon goal.

After already been booked Ross McNab was judged to have brought Ferguson down when through on goal and was sent off. Micky Rae leveled the scores just before half time with a header from a Lewis Dodds cross.

In the second half Shildon made the man advantage count with 3 further goals, first the goal of the night when David Ferguson beat two players and curled the ball into the top corner of the net. Then Billy Greulich-Smith tapped in to make it 3-1 and finally Lewis Wing added the fourth placing it passed the keeper.

Final Score : Shildon 4 Sunderland RCA 1
