Shildon AFC Supporters Club travel to Lower Breck in the FA Vase
The Supporters Club will be running a bus to the FA Vase 2nd Round game away to Lower Breck on Saturday 2nd November 2019.

Shildon are through to the 2nd round of the FA Vase after a 2-0 victory against West Didsbury & Chorlton
Nathan Steel gave Shildon the perfect start after 2 minutes with a cool finish past the West goalkeeper.
West Didsbury & Chorlton were down to 10 men after 10 minutes when Lee Gavin was given a straight red card for a tackle on Ben Trotter.
In the final minute of the half Danny Craggs double the advantage forcing the ball home from a Heywood cross.
Shaun Newbrook tipped a shot over to keep the clean sheet in tact and Billy Greulich-Smith had a goal disallowed late in the second half.

Shildon return to league action against Whitley Bay.
Following a 2-0 win away at Willington in league cup group F, the Railway Men will be looking to continue the fine football displayed, as they take a trip to Hillheads Park to face 16th placed Whitley Bay.
Shildon, who currently sit 6th in the league, will be hoping to finally secure all 3 points following an indifferent set of results in recent weeks.
The victory at Willington will, however provide Daniel Moore’s men with confidence of securing back to back away wins, which could in-turn see the Railway Men jump to 4th in the league.
A 3-1 victory for Shildon when the sides last met at Hillheads park, will be a result manager Daniel Moore will be looking to replicate this Saturday.
Although Manager Moore will be prioritising a win first and foremost, The Railway Men will be hopeful of securing a second clean sheet in four days against a Whitley Bay side that have netted just 12 times in the league this season.
With Shildon currently being the leagues second highest scorers (29 league goals) a clean sheet could go along way to increasing the Railway Men’s goal difference – something which could prove critical come the end of the season.
A win would see Shildon move onto 21 points, potentially leaving the Railway Men just a point off both second placed Stockton Town and third placed Consett (with 2 games in hand).

Shildon look to return to winning ways at Dean Street
Following back to back away defeats on the road to Stockton and West Auckland Town respectively, Shildon will be hoping to get back on track against a Seaham Red Star side that currently sit 19th in the league.
Despite a much improved performance against high flying Stockton Town, The Railway Men have still failed to net in their last two outings, something manager Daniel Moore will look to see addressed this weekend.
Moore may be looking towards star forward Billy Greulich-Smith to continue the fine form displayed against Northallerton, which saw the striker bag a Hat-trick in a convincing 3-0 win.
With the away side leaking 23 league goals and picking up just 1 win all season, Shildon will be looking to ensure that they take maximum points against the relegation battling side, but cannot afford any complacency.
A 2-2 draw when the sides last met at Dean Street saw Shildon blow the 2-0 lead they secured in the opening 10 minutes. Manager Daniel Moore will be hoping for a similar start when the sides meet on Saturday, but will also expect a higher level of concentration throughout, in-order to assure the 3 points
A win for Shildon could see The Railway Men move into the top 4, leapfrogging Guisborough Town, who face mid-table Newcastle Benfield.
Iulian signs for another month #ShildonAFC
Central defender Iulian Petrache has extended his loan with Shildon.
We thank Morpeth Town for agreeing to the extension which will run until the end of October.
Iulian has featured in 6 of our games during September and will go into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Seaham Red Star

West Auckland outplayed Shildon at the Wanted stadium running out 4-0 winners.
Shildon were behind after 2 mins when Adam Mitchell scored from a Purewal cross. Shildon had a couple of chances but went in at half time 1-0 down.
2 minutes int o the second half David Dowson scored after rounding Shaun in the Shildon goal. 5 minutes later Dowson scored again turning in a cross. Amar Purewal finished the scoring after 67 mins.

Shildon move up to third in the Northern League after a 3-0 victory over Northallerton Town at Dean Street.
Billy Greulich-Smith scored a hat-trick to give Shildon all three points. Two penalties in the first half, the first for a foul on Danny Craggs the second a hand ball in the box, were both despatched first to the left and then right by the striker.
In the second half a further penalty was saved by the Northallerton keeper to deny his hat-trick. Aidan Heywood then cleared off the line with 15 minutes to go to keep the lead intact.
Billy’s hat-trick was complete on the 85th minute as he rounded the keeper to finish into the empty net.

Railway men looking to keep the momentum flowing
Shildon will be aiming to maintain a positive return to form as they take on Easington Colliery today in the latest round of the FA vase.
The club face another trip away from Dean Street and manager Daniel Moore has made no secret that his side cannot take their opponents lightly.
“We cannot underestimate Easington I went to watch them in the week, and they are very capable of scoring goals.”
“We have to keep our own momentum going and I still think there is more to come from us.”
As to what side could feature at the weekend, manager Moore will be without both Zac Atkinson and Jack Vaulks so once again the boss will lean on the club’s squad depth in search of victory.

16 year old Tafari Nicholas scored twice as Shildon won the first game in the new look Northern League Cup.
His first came on 50mins as he ran the length of the half before slotting under the Guisborough Town keeper.
4 minutes later he doubled Shildon’s advantage firing in an unstoppable shot to the keepers left.
Steven Roberts pulled a goal back for Guisborough with 4 minutes to go, but, a Shildon team that finished with an average age of 19 held on.
