Shildon progress to the next round of the FA Vase with a 1-0 victory against Glasshoughton Welfare.

Daniel Moore scored the only goal of the game after 30 mins of the 1st half to send Shildon through.

Matty Robson missed a penalty in the second half after Danny Earl was fouled in the box.

NEW SIGNING | Nathan Steel from Guisborough Town

Welcome to the club, Nathan Steel, who has today completed his transfer from Guisborough Town.

The striker who has scored 15 goals this season  has had 3 spells at Guisborough Town as well as playing for Billingham Synthonia. Nathan has also had a spell coaching in America.

Welcome to the club David Palmer who has today completed his move from Seaham Red Star.

David is a quality footballer who can play centre or right midfield and has scored over 50 goals in 100 games for Seaham Red Star.

ENL1 Result | Sunderland RCA 0 Shildon 2

Shildon moved to 2nd in the League with a 2-0 victory away to Sunderland RCA.

New Signing Leon Carling made his debut following his move from Marske United.

Player/Manager Daniel Moore scored his fourth goal in two games to give Shildon the lead half way through the second half. In the final minute of the game Shaun Newbrook produced an outstanding save to keep the lead intact and from the clearance Brad Hird was judged to of been fouled in the box. Matty Robson stepped up to make it 2-0.

Next game is the FA Vase 1st Round game against Glasshoughton Welfare on October 13th.

LEAGUE CUP RESULT | Shildon 3 Willington 3 (Willington win 4-1 on Penalties)

Shildon are out of the League Cup after losing a penalty shoot out against Willington.

Daniel Moore gave Shildon the perfect start, kicking with the wind at their backs, scoring 2 goals to put the home side 2-0 at the break.

Matty Moffat then put Willington back in the game with a good finish past Shaun Newbrook. 2 Goals from Michael Brown then gave Willington the lead only for Daniel Moore to complete his hat-trick in the 94th minute to send it to Penalties.

Former Shildon goalkeeper Lewis Graham saved from Brad Hird & Jamie Harwood and then scored the final penalty to send Willington through 4-1.
